TERMS & CONDITIONS
1. Eligibility
TI-MUN conference welcomes youth between the age of 14 and 30 and adults from 30 and older. No previous Model UN experience is needed, but participants are encouraged to have a high interest in global affairs and in the United Nations.
High school, university and adult delegates may register as part of a delegation or as individual delegates.
TI-MUN also welcomes advisors who have a role in planning and organizing a MUN conferences and teachers who use Model UN in their education programs, especially if the group includes minors, should preferably be accompanied by at least one faculty advisor or a teacher.
2. Registration Deadlines
All registration are accepted on a first come, first served basis. Once maximum capacity is reached, Delegates will be able to register and to be placed on a waiting list.
Registration period is from August 15 to October 16, 2022.
3. Registration Types and Fees
There is no fee for university or high school groups.
The fee for high school, university and adult delegates who are attending individually or in group is 40.- CHF.
Every group need a Faculty Advisor or a Head Delegate. The first Faculty Advisor is free of charges.
The fee for additional advisors, chaperones, or observers is 40.- CHF per individual.
Registration fee include a delegate welcome pack and two lunches.
Individual delegates, registered as individual or groups, may purchase additional packages. The prices are indicated on the purchase site.
4. Payment
The full amount for each Group must be paid in full by October 31, 2022.
Individual applicants should pay their Indidivual Delegate Fee in full by October 31, 2022.
All fees are non-refundable.
5. Visa
EU/EEA nationals and non-European nationals holding a residence permit for a Schengen country do not need a visa to enter Switzerland.
Delegates not fulfilling these conditions may be required to apply for a Schengen visa at a Swiss embassy/consulate. Further information can be found here: https://www.ch.ch/en/entering-switzerland-visa/
It is every delegate’s own responsibility to organize his or her visa. Model United Nations - Ticino association does not assume any liability, neither for the completeness and/or correctness of the above information, nor in case of the visa application’s refusal by the Swiss embassy.
Model United Nations - Ticino association provides assistance to participants regularly registered for the conference only once the registration fee has been paid. It is the participant's responsibility to secure the necessary documentation to enter Switzerland.
6. Privacy and Intellectual Property
Model United Nations - Ticino association reserves the right to utilize all data submitted by individuals and to collect data in the form of photographs or videos during the conference and social events without limitations.
All applicants agree that no data, results, and materials used or created within the TI-MUN conferences will be divulged by means of publications, reports, conferences, or any other form without the express written consent from TI-MUN of which these products, data, results, and materials are exclusive property.
Model United Nations - Ticino association reserves the right to update and change information on the official website, conference program, and social media platforms without previous notice.
7. Code of Conduct
Registrants hereby certifies by completing the registration process that all information submitted is truthful and accurate. The registrant understands that falsification of any information provided will disqualify him or her from participation in present and future TI-MUN activities, and falsification of information or impersonation will result in legal actions.
Participants agree that all materials produced for this conference will be original work. Plagiarism will not be tolerated at TI-MUN conferences, and should the Model United Nations - Ticino association discover instances of plagiarism, the individual will be disqualified from the conference without refund.
Participants are expected and obliged to obey the laws of Switzerland and Canton Ticino while participating in TI-MUN conference. Participants are personally responsible for all charges and damage to facilities of the conference and social events venues.
Participants understand full assumption of risk and acknowledge that Model United Nations - Ticino association, and its members, officers, elected representatives, collaborators and employees do not assume any responsibility for the conduct and activities of the participants.
