Zurich is two and a half hours away by train, while Milano Airport (Italy) is one and a half hours away. Both airports have direct trains to Lugano. Please check timetables and tickets availability on the SBB website or app.

The conference venue is located just outside the motorway exit of “Lugano Nord” (A2 highway).

VISA

DO I NEED A VISA? WHAT SHOULD I DO TO GET ONE?

Make sure to check the updated information on the requirement to travel to Switzerland from your country. While citizens from some countries (mostly North American and European countries) do not need a visa, other countries do.

HOW WILL TI-MUN ASSIST YOU IN THE PROCESS?

As of 2022, TI-MUN has a new internal policy for assisting participants applying for a visa to enter Switzerland for the duration of the conference. Those who wish to register for the conference and need a visa are asked to register via the appropriate page on mymun.com and proceed according to the information on the page. Only once the registration fee has been paid will the required documentation (invitation letter) be issued.

In case the application for a visa is rejected by the Swiss government, the registration fee will be refunded.

No visa assistance is provided BEFORE the registration fee is paid.

Delegations requiring a visa: the faculty advisor is requested to get in touch with visa@ti-mun.ch.
